Located in the town centre of Cartagena, between the Los Barreros roundabout and Avenida Victor Beltrí (Ronda Norte), it is 1.8 km long. The margins of the Greenway have been landscaped with a large number and variety of shrubs and trees. Of particular note is the centenary olive tree next to the halt at the Plaza de Canthal. In terms of infrastructure facilities, there is a children's play area, picnic area and bio-healthy circuit. Lighting, litter bins, pavements, gardens and benches. It starts at the Los Barreros roundabout, and has intermediate accesses at Plaza Canthal and Calle León, Calle Fuendetodos, Calle Proyecto, Calle Virgen del Pilar, Calle Submarino and Calle Salvador Alonso Martínez. It ends at Avenida Víctor Veltri (Ronda Norte). Next to the Mandarache shopping centre.
The Greenway, which covers the section from the Los Barreros bridge to the Mandarache Shopping Centre on the Ronda Norte ring road, takes advantage of the old railway line which, according to Barreiro, is more than 1.7 kilometres long and covers an area of more than 32,000 square metres, which has been transformed into a central walkway up to 6 metres wide, bordered by trees on each side with species such as Aleppo pine, stone pine, Canary Island pine, Cartagena cypress, pyramidal cypress, Strict cypress, common cypress, casuarina, holm oak, carob tree, olive tree, privet, mulberry, plane tree, poplar, jacaranda, tipuana, red plum tree, most of which are low in water consumption.
