COSTA CÁLIDA. REGION OF MURCIA
2 PROTECTED MARINE RESERVES:
CABO DE PALOS - ISLAS HORMIGAS
AND CABO TIÑOSO
The Region of Murcia is blessed with an enviable year-round climate and a coast that remains unchanged over time. But what really sets it apart is the transparency of its waters which, together with an average temperature of 20ºC and the highest environmental rating, make the Murcian coast the ideal setting for water sports and, in particular, for diving; a sport that can be enjoyed all year round.
The riches of the sea bed, in terms not only of the variety of marine life and the beauty of the flora but also the numerous shipwrecks, make the Cabo de Palos-Islas Hormigas-Isla Grosa area, Cartagena - La Azohía, Mazarrón and Águilas exceptional places for diving. All offer the opportunity to enjoy everything from easy dives in shallow waters to more challenging routes recommended only for more experienced divers.
The Region also has numerous diving centres
that offer courses and dive experiences for all levels
, from beginners to more technical dives to large shipwrecks, underwater caves and crevices suitable only for the more experienced.
