Information

Cuatro Calas (Four Coves) is a protected area located in the extreme southwest of the Region of Murcia, on the border with Almeria. The site illustrates the volcanism of the south-eastern peninsula through interesting geological structures with strata of volcanic materials, and there is also a fossiliferous deposit of marine vertebrates.

FAUNA

Lesser short-toed lark, stone-curlew, peregrine falcon, caracara, black wheatear, red-tailed lizard.

USES

Old cookers, where esparto grass was macerated. Cave houses.
