SANTIAGO APÓSTOL (JAMES THE APOSTLE)
Information

The Monument to Santiago Apóstol (James the Apostle) is an image of the saint, full-bodied, made in bronze in 2007 by the sculptor Juan José Quirós from Cartagena. The sculpture has a height of approximately three metres and is located on the quay of Santa Lucia, at kilometre zero of the so-called "Camino del Azahar". The image of Santiago Apóstol, is accompanied by a cross over fifteen metres high, which was designed by Andrés Martínez and built in the workshops of Tamar. It is next to the mural that represents the entrance of the Apostle in Spain, through the fishing district, which is a work by Ramón Alonso Luzzy.
