San Esteban church, which belonged to the Society of Jesus, was built in the 16th century. One of its facades is a work of Jerónimo Quijano. It has only a central nave with a gothic vault.
It houses baroque alterpieces and images. Particular attention to that of San Francisco de Asís (Saint Francis Borgia) by Nicolás de Bussy which is currently exposed in the MUBAM, Museo de Bellas Artes de Murcia (Murcia Museum of Fine Arts) should be paid. A wooden monstrance by Salzillo, the famous sculptor, is housed in the sacristy.
