Located on the Hill of Conception, its different renovations have made it the most important tree space in the Old Town of Cartagena.
The hill evolves from the original sacred function of ancient times to a defensive function from medieval times. Lost its strategic value, in 1924 it is recovered as a landscaped public space for the city with a classicist style design, being remodelled at the end of the 20th century on several occasions until it acquires its current appearance, valuing the remains of the medieval Castle and adapting the accessibility to the park with the panoramic elevator.
From the esplanade that occupies what was the old Battery of San Patricio you can enjoy a wide panorama of the city and its port.
Evolution since ancient times, medieval, 18th century and contemporary.
