Playa de La Llana (Playa Punta de Algas)
Protected natural beach with dunes and salt lakes. It is located in the regional park Parque Regional de las Salinas y Arenas de San Pedro del Pinatar. Over here you can see how the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor (Minor Sea) converge. Here it is performed the ancient art of fishing known as 'encañizadas' -consisting in creating sort of a maze with canes and nets, so that fishes get trapped- because of the area fish abundance.

How to get there:
AP-7 road (exit 774), or N-332 road from Cartagena to San Pedro del Pinatar. Avda. Del Puerto, in the direction of the regional park Parque Regional de las Salinas y Arenas de San Pedro del Pinatar. It is located on the right side hand of the Puerto de San Pedro (San Pedro Harbour), beyond the beaches Playa de Las Salinas and Barca Quemada. There is also a footpath leading there from the beach Playa de la Mota.
