Under the umbrella of the Region of Murcia's Tourism Development Plan, training is fundamental in achieving improved standards of qualification and professionalism amongst those working in the hotel, catering and tourism field. Amongst the missions of the Centre for Tourism Qualification is the provision of a comprehensive programme of courses, workshops, seminars and educational activities for the tourist sector, including quality training, restaurant service, cookery and wine familiarisation courses, as well as others for professionals from sectors such as travel agencies, hotel and lodging, sports and leisure activities, management, etc.
Courses are open both as refresher courses for those already working in the field and as vocational training for those interested in entering the sector for the first time.
The Centre for Tourism Qualification is located in the city of Murcia on Av. Juana Jugán nº 2 (Carretera de Puente Tocinos) and, in addition to the above-mentioned activities, also runs courses elsewhere in the Murcia Region, where there is sufficient demand and need.
