Located in the borough of La Culebrina, which is one of the largest and least populated within the municipality of Lorca, it has as its setting the Sierra del Gigante and is just 3 kilometres from the Valdeinfernos Reservoir. Surrounded by thick pine groves, and mountain peaks more than 1,400 metres high, the area¿s beautiful landscapes and the abundance of its natural resources make it an enormously attractive place for environmental research and education.
Access: Take the Puerto Lumbreras Centre exit, drive through the centre of the town, and follow the signs to Amarillas de Albergue Juvenil for 6 kilometres as far as the Cabezo de la Jara youth hostel.
