Active tourism is one of the great proposals, regarding leisure related to nature, offered by the Region of Murcia. Along the coastline, from Cabo de Palos and Portmán to Águilas, there are plenty of possibilities to play all kinds of sports and carry out all kinds of activities. The visitor will find in the inland region a wide range of routes to be done on foot, on horse or by mountain bike, photographic routes, historical-archaeological routes, and possibilities for climbing, trekking, agrotourism, rafting¿ All this is complemented by a big network of hostels, campings and rural cottages in lovely spots, either deep in the country or hidden among old and narrow houses in different inland villages where the summer is warm and the winter is a perfect moment to be near the fireplace. Furthermore, the supply by the coastline as well as in the inland region is complete thanks to the facilities of many specialised companies which organise activities for the day, allowing to enjoy nature in land, water or air: spelunking routes through the most peculiar caves, horse riding, agroactivities, white water canoeing, diving, cave diving, paragliding, hang gliding, distillation of aromatic herbs and essence extraction, production of handmade cakes and cheese, theme routes, camps and many more.
