ACCESSIBLE BEACHES

This summer, everybody is going to the beach. And when we say everybody, we mean it: families with prams, elderly people, disabled people... We have in the Region of Murcia several beaches with accessibility elements, where you will find car parks, walkways, amphibious crutches and chairs, accessible toilets and changing rooms, shaded areas... so that everyone can enjoy a fantastic day or vacation at the beach without barriers.

Among the following are the beaches with the biggest number of accessibility elements.

Las Delicias beach and La Colonia beach, both in Águilas, stand out: they both have a fully equipped accessible point offering assisted bathing.

You will find some more beaches with accessible equipment and services in our Beach Guide

ÁGUILAS

Playa de Las Delicias - Las Delicias Beach

Another big beach in this locality, between the Yacht Club and the Promontorio de La Aguilica -La Aguilica Promontory-. It is nowadays one of the best beaches, with grey sand which gets smoothly in the sea and a sandy seabed -except for a small part by the mouth of 'Las Culebras' watercourse-. It covers almost the whole Bahía de Levante -Levante Bay-, which is considered to be one of the nicest bays in the Mediterranean. A beach and a marina with Blue Flag since 1992 and the Q for Quality. There are plenty of facilities available, including a beach sports area. It offers assisted bathing for those with reduced mobility.

Calabardina Beach

Easily accessible. The largest residential areas of the locality spread all around this beach, where the fishers' hamlet was located, surrounding the now extinct tunny fishery. The cape Cabo Cope, an outstanding anchorage for ships, protects it on its eastern face, like a vigilant and imposing guardian. This is a beach of fine sand, sandy seabed and clean, crystal-clear waters. The former pier, now used by small boats and diving clubs for their outings, bears witness to bygone times, times when the tunny fishing catches where unloaded there.
The camping area Camping Águilas is located 3 km from this beach. There are beachfront restaurants.
